Giorgio Brambilla has a cobblestone in his stomach. He is fascinated by Paris-Roubaix, more than by any other race of the cobblestone classics. Having finished twice on the podium of the U23 edition of the Queen of the Classics, Brambilla has his mind set on winning the race sooner rather than later. Surprisingly, it was the legacy of Felice Gimondi, who raced long before Brambilla was born, that made the young Italian’s interest shift from motorsport to cycling. His uncle, just as fond of the magic of the Spring Classics as the young Giorgio, encouraged him to train hard and made him realize that he had a talent to do well in the toughest races on the calendar.
